Rainy NYC Elopement

I’m sharing the first elopement on the blog today! This one took place in a city that I’d love to visit one day, New York City. It also shows that sometimes rain is just the perfect opportunity for very special photos. Photography credit: Jimena Roquero, spending half of her time in Spain, half of her time in NYC!

The wedding was on December 7, 2012 in New York City City Hall. From the bride:

My husband and I met in DC but we decided to travel to NYC for the wedding because it is one of my favorite cities. I moved away from NYC in 2003 and to this day still miss it dearly. We wanted the day to just be simple and just about us, so we didn’t tell anyone except for my girl friends who would be our witnesses. The day after, we surprised our family and friends with the news.

Name one thing your regret…

I don’t regret anything, but I was sad that I had to put my Manolos in puddles of rain a few times.  :)

… And one thing you’re really happy about/ proud of.

Despite the shoes, I was really happy about the rain.  The city is so romantic in the rain!
