Teele + Mart

A Yellow Deep-Dyed Wedding Dress and a Gigantic Letter

I know I shouldn’t be saying that yet, but this wedding is totally making it to my best of 2013 selection. You know that sensation, when you get goosebumps, start feeling a lump in your throat and then stupidly want to cry a little bit? Well I felt that. Three times. First when I saw the post on Stina’s blog, second when she allowed me to blog it, and then finally when I was preparing this post. Not that it’s particularly emotional, it’s just goddamn beautiful! Ready for another incredible series of pictures by Stina Kase?

The wedding happened on July, 7th 2012, in Tallinn Old Town (on the roof of the Estonian Maritime Museum “Paks Margareta”) and then later at the coastal village “Salmistu”, both located in Estonia. Believe it or not, this is a DIY wedding; everything, from the concept to the smallest detail—check out this deep-dyed dress and those badges on the tables with the names of all the guests—were thought by the bride and the groom. Huge congrats to them for doing so well, for the consistency and for their choices of location (venue is definitely everything). Anyone planning her wedding right now: flight these guys out of Estonia to do it for you. And tell them to bring Stina with them. :)

Regarding the wedding, name one thing you regret…

Everything went well, but we forgot small vodka glasses, so who wanted to drink vodka, had to drink it from wine glasses. :)

…And one thing you’re really proud of / happy about.

We are proud that our guests have good memories and stories from that day.

Thaminne + Renato

Amazing Brazilian DIY Wedding

I have to say I was impressed by this wedding and couple: when I first read the bride’s story and I saw the list of vendors, I discovered the wedding was a DIY, and it’s hard to tell from the photos! So, congrats to Thaminne and Renato for planning their wedding and doing it so well. And of course, congrats to Frankie e Marília for these excellent photos.

Thaminne and Renato’s wedding took place in Guararema, a city located in the state of São Paulo, Brazil. They had been dating for 9 years before they got married, which means they were high school lovers! They decided to see each other before the ceremony, which is something they would recommend to future brides and grooms:

We agreed we would meet in some place chosen by our photographers which happened to be the living room of the farm. It was one of the best moment of the whole preparation, away from the rush and the foolishness… it was like watching a movie of everything we already went through and it was awesome!

Name one thing you regret…

I wish we had done the ceremony earlier, have lunch instead of dinner, something like that.

… And one thing you’re really happy about / proud of.

Ah, we keep on talking about this: if there’s one think we’re really happy about, it’s our choice of photographers. I know we sound like creepers, but we were truly and sincerely happy both with the result and the persons we got to know. Another thing that makes us really happy is to have managed to gather our families and friends to set up the decor, buy the flowers, paint the vases – we all had a really good time!

Anneli + Andi

Simple Snowy Winter Wedding in Estonia

Winter weddings are beautiful. Winter gowns are fantastic. Photography by Sandra Palm, out of Estonia.

Anneli and Andi’s wedding took place on the 9th of February, in a South-Estonian manor in Taagepera. Going for a winter wedding is no easy decision, especially in Estonia:

Our biggest concern was weather, because -20 degrees is not unusual during the Winter period in Estonia, as well as +2 and rain is possible. But we were wery lucky and had a mild winter day with beautiful fresh snow. To enjoy this beautiful winter weather we decided to have the wedding ceremony outside, on the terrace.
