Jen + Ed

Casual Argentinian Wedding in the Vineyards

Wanna travel to Argentine today? Today’s wedding is quite simple in terms of details, but the venue is just fantastic! Loving those bridesmaids and groomsmen pictures in the vineyard, and the bride’s short wedding dress! Photos by Cecilia Aiscurri.

The wedding of Jen and Ed is an Argentinian-Australian vineyard wedding, that took place at Santa Maria de los Andes, in Mendoza, a region of Argentina with lots of mountains. It’s actually a world-wide story that brought those guys together, that started in Brazil (they met in Rio, spent two weeks at the beach and got matching tattoos!), ended up in Dubai, and included some stops in Spain, North Australia, Dubai, Bali, Saudi and Lybia… Wow!

Name one thing you regret…

Since it was very long distance (South America!), many people weren’t able to attend (Europe bound mainly…)

… And one thing you’re really happy about / proud of.

The wedding was set up long distance so we couldn’t be into details. It was composed of people from all around the world (Australia, UK, Barcelona, Egypt, Dubai, South Africa, Argentina, Venezuela…). The bright side was that family had no involvement in what was to be chosen so it was exclusively Ed and I making it a modern untraditional wedding that suited all customs (we had to have live interpreter for all to understand, including Ed who was signing the papers!).

Everything was hired locally – I dont have the information of each vendor since my computer of then crashed and I lost all data – but honestly I would give Silvia all credit, she got it and put it together and made it happen.

Mélanie + Matthew

Perfect French/ South African Wedding

I am super happy to share this wedding with you today: über-pretty dress and suit, a bus to take all your guests with you, an outdoor ceremony with an amazing landscape, entertainment (a mechanical bull!) and a beautiful venue. Besides, if countryside and flower fields is your thing (it’s totally mine), then you should definitely continue reading. Photography by Modern Hearts, based in South Africa.

Julia + Ricardo

Outdoor Brazilian Clown Wedding

This post is to close all discussion about what makes a wedding beautiful. It’s you, your love, your emotions—that will eventually be captured by your photographer. Details are great, but you know, it’s like your home: it’s great to decorate it so it reflects your personality; but what makes your home your home, is how you feel and what you lived there. Subject closed, today’s wedding is Julia and Ricardo’s. They’re actors (clowns!) and maybe that’s why so much emotion is expressed, but whatever the reason, we could all learn from them. Photography by Mariana Magno, from Brazil.

Julia and Ricardo were both part of a troupe of street theater and met while on tour in Brazil. It took them 30 cities to finally, in the last week, start dating. Their story started there, and then 8 years later, these now parents of a 4 years old girl and a 5 years old dog got married. They had an intimate wedding, with a very simple ceremony led by a pastor friend and were surrounded by their closest friends. Small yet important detail for those planning their wedding right now: it took them less than 20 days to plan theirs…

Name one thing you regret…

My only small regret is to not have taken a look at the decoration some time before all our guests arrived. It was beautiful and I wish I had enjoyed more the atmosphere created by our decorator.

… And one thing you’re really happy about / proud of.

I loved to have our daughter to be our maid of honour! It was a dream… She was the most beautiful in the world.
