Mariella + Jakub

Laid-Back Wedding in Czech Republic

Mariella & Jakub got married after 19 years of relationship! It was actually a tough 2013 that made them want to have a fresh start… So they called their friend Isabelle of Plumière to capture the day for them and off they went to Czech Republic, where the groom’s originally from. I love the vibe of this very laid-back wedding!

The wedding happened on the 20th of September 2014, in ‘Doubice‘, part of the Czech Republic called ‘Bohemian Switzerland‘, next to a huge national park.

After 19 years of relationship and a really messy year 2013 we decided to bond together forever. So we kinda left the evil years behind a ended with a new beginning. The fun fact about the wedding was that my father officiated the ceremony. He’s the mayor of the village so he has the official perdition to do so.

We had a small and private celebration, a grand firework provided by the brides father, who used to be a fire fighter. That was really amazing and everybody had 3-D glasses on that projected little visual hearts into the fireworks, so we’ve been all shouting and yelling from the deepest if our happy bodies and minds :)

Name one thing you regret…

Never allow your friends to take pictures especially during the ceremony. In fact if you book a professional photographer like Isabella no one else should take any shots. And tell anybody to NOT put the pics on Facebook or other social networks, if you don’t want any bad surprises…

… And one thing that makes you proud.

Stay cool. It’s your celebration, the grand day, everything is about you and nobody else. Anyone got a problem, it shouldn’t be yours. Enjoy, don’t stress, take fresh air on a regular basis and be happy. Smile, because it’s so easy.

Balloon Love Letters and an Outdoor Ceremony in the Middle of the City

It may look like an obvious choice when thinking about it (and well, after seeing someone do it!), but I’ve never seen a couple getting married in the middle of the city, simply in a town square. Finding the right place to hold the ceremony can become quite a headache, but sometimes the solution is just right under your feet! I’m also a huge fan of these balloons love letters, aren’t you? Photography by Sandra Palm.

The wedding took place in Tallinn, Estonia, on July 09, 2013. Here’s the story of how these two met.
I like the story of how we met. I am from Estonia and he is from Sweden. We met in Estonia in a nightclub. He came up to me in the club and I wasn’t interested at the time. We chatted and I left. And that was it. No numbers exchanged or anything. 7 months later he happened to be in Estonia again and we just happened to be in the same nightclub again. He came up to me, again, but he didn’t remember we had already met… I obviously did. His face was priceless when after his “Hello” and introduction I got to say… “Yeah I know. We have met!” We had a great laugh about it and exchanged emails after that.

Name one thing you regret…

Its impossible to answer this as it was the most awesome day ever. I only regret it couldn’t last longer than a day!

… And one thing you’re really happy about/ proud of.

I am the most happy that our friends travelled from all around the world to be with us.

The word of the photographer.

I  think that the couple had an awesome attitude towards their wedding day. They were so relaxed, totally enjoying the day. Photographing people clearly amazingly in love, showing their love for each other and enjoying themselves every minute of the day, is just a total bliss as a photographer! The wedding was modern, stylish and relaxed.

A Balloon Themed Love Shoot in The Netherlands

Did you all start 2014 well? Marcio and I are in Brazil to visit his family, and I don’t want to make anyone jealous—I’m actually rather complaining here—but it’s freaking hot over here! Anyway, whatever part of the planet you’re reading this from, I hope you’re fine and you enjoyed the end of last year.

Today I’d like to share with you this sweet couple session from the Netherlands… just love and balloons! Photography by Eva for Miss Lalamour.

The Word of the photographer.

Since this couple hinted they were a bit camera shy, we decided to do a loveshoot before their actual wedding next year. I’ve had my eye on this dilapidated old house for a while, but had never figured out how to actually get there. So after some research, we ended up in this magical place in the late summer sun. What struck me was that these two beautiful people had so much fun together, they barely even noticed I was there…:)
